Kumon

Kumon Maths and English programmes are offered at St Mary's. The aim of the programme is to prepare pupils for Senior School Maths and English, by enabling them to master the basics of these important subjects at their own pace. Pupils are assessed, and then started at a basic level so that they are confident and happy from the first session.

The Kumon programme is not meant to replace a school syllabus; it is a complementary programme enabling sudents to master the work in small stages, with enough practice for the methods to become second nature to them. Kumon students soon learn to work quickly, accurately and confidently, and many of them work far beyond their grade level very comfortably.
