Each year group goes on a camp annually. The camp programme is carefully designed to meet the needs of the group. By experiencing an off-campus programme, the girls are able to extend their skills in a different, and often more challenging, environment and learn to interact with girls with whom they may not have encountered in a team situation.
The camp programmes focus on:
| Form I | Friendship and orientation |
| Form II | Discover |
| Form III | Explore |
| Form IV | Leadership |
St Mary’s School is fortunate in sharing the Kloofwaters Outdoors Campus in the Magaliesburg with our brother school, St John’s College. The camp instructors are young, experienced and qualified to create programmes to suit specific needs. Not all Form camps take place at Kloofwaters.
St Mary’s School arranges tours, both locally and overseas, for different groups regularly. We have had sports tours to Australia, the USA and to the Far East. Our tennis girls attended Centre Court matches at Wimbledon in July.
Cultural tours depart regularly for Europe and we have French tours where girls attend schools in France to improve their understanding of the culture and language.
